Poem: Killing My Sisters and Brothers

Today is not yesterday. We do not live in the 19th century. Racism and sexism, are not acceptable. We the people, of the United States, Have an obligation to each other.

Let us not forget the past, But move forward together. Put aside the petty blasts Of hate, politics and sides. Stop fighting each other.

All lives matter, not doubt. Dark or light skin aside. No one start to pout. We are one in the same. We are sisters and bothers.

Not every cop is corrupt. Not everyone in a minority is a criminal. Those of us who are fed up, Listen to what I have to say. White skin is no bother.

I am not racist, But I get lumped with all whites. I am not sexist, But being a woman bites. Why don’t we just care for each other.

Regardless of color, We should stand tall and proud. Our freedom now hovers, In the hands of idiots Who belittles their sisters and brothers.

Not one person, but a group Of corrupt politicians and media, Run the show into the ground. We are all slaves today, Hand in hand with one another.

No more separate parties! No more separate colors! No more media control! No more lies from the politicians! It is killing my sisters and brothers!
